Drop in and see us today!

Take the trip to Peterborough and check out our:

  • taxidermy exhibits representing various ecosystems across Canada, where you can get an up close and personal view of Canadian species
  • touchscreens for our exhibits, highlighting specific details about each species found in their respective exhibits, as well as “Wildlife Biologist” quizzes about each species. Test your knowledge and learning!
  • Ontario Record Fish Registry and see our wall filled with replicas of each record sportfish caught across the province
  • antiques fishing lure and decoy collections, with pieces dating back as early as the 1860’s. This is a world-class collection for those who are interested in these pieces of our heritage
  • touch tables for interactive learning, including our pelt table, with pelts from 20 different furbearers from across Canada. Touch, contrast, and compare how these species’ furs each have their own unique properties
  • Shimano Sportfish Aquarium with 6 different native species to observe up close. We feed daily around 1:45-2:30, so drop in and see them feed!
  • Invading Species Awareness Program exhibit, highlighting the invading species who have been found in Ontario and present threats to our native ecosystems and species. We are one of only three locations in Canada where you can observe live Sea Lampreys up close
  • Toronto Sportsmen’s Show Amphitheatre, where we play Canadian nature documentaries and content for visitors upon drop in
  • skull collection, antique items and Hats for Hides patch collections, displaying these and other items which connect deeply to our hunting, fishing, and conservation heritage

We are open for visitors from Mondays to Fridays between 10am and 4pm so drop in and see us today! We would love to greet you and help to stoke an understanding of, and respect for, the incredible hunting, fishing, and wilderness experiences that Ontario has to offer.

Admission is only $5 for adults, and visitors under 18 are completely FREE!

* Unfortunately, due to liability issues, supervision, and staff time, we are unable to make the archery/air gun ranges, and our stocked fishing pond, available for use during public drop ins. These experiences are limited to our school, programming, and community group bookings to ensure that staff are available to facilitate these experiences.
